Healthy Recipes to Lose Weight

By Brandon Z. Fitz

Losing weight is sometimes a very difficult task because it’s impossible to sort through the countless rumors to separate the truth from fiction.  There are a ton of diet plans ranging from low carbohydrates to low calorie intake.  The ultimate question is which ones work and which ones don’t?

There are a number of diet plans you can try that will lead to weight loss.  The most important aspect of any diet plan is your ability to stick with it.  Will you be happy and content to eat the foods on your plan for the rest of your life?  A lot of people make the huge mistake of switching up diets from month to month.  That confuses your body and can actually lead to weight gain in the long run.

The trick of finding ways to lose weight is to make sure it’s something that you can continue and be happy with in the long-term.  Low carb foods are one of the best ways to lose weight and do not involve starving yourself.  In fact, eating low carb foods will keep you full longer.  So what are the best low carb foods to eat?

Here are three of the best low carb foods that are essential to any diet plan.

Meats contain no carbohydrates and therefore, can be added to any low carb weight loss plan.  However, the trick is to make sure to stick with lean meats.  After all, you don’t want to substitute carbs for high fat content foods.

Dairy products contain vitamins and nutrients that your body needs.  Be sure to stick with fat free as dairy products are normally full of fat and calories.  The fat free variety contains the same vitamins and nutrients, yet it does not contain as many calories.

Of course you knew vegetables would be on the list.  They are the body’s best friend and include much needed vitamins and nutrients. So, not meaning to sound patronizing, eat all of your vegetables.

Many weight loss programs do not promote this fact, yet it’s true.  All carbs are not the enemy.  Foods that are high in sugars and starch are the one’s that are bad.  Many carbohydrates will actually assist in weight loss and can fuel your metabolism.  It’s just a matter of picking the right foods and not falling prey to false rumors.  Check out the Fat Melting Cookbook at and learn which foods are good for you and which ones are not.
